Hello there! My name is Amy Wilson. I am a 5th generation Central Coast resident and I have a thing for real estate. The purpose of my blog is to provide meaningful real estate advice for homeowners and buyers here on the Central Coast. Currently, I am not a practicing Realtor, I am a student because I wanted to better myself. I am on my way to receiving my degrees in paralegal, legal studies, and business administration. Crazy, right? But I need to be a paralegal to keep myself out of legal trouble, I need the business degree to help keep my business afloat and the legal studies degree was just a few classes more so why not. On top of all of this, I am a wife and mom to five wonderful kids.
I have been an active Realtor in the past and I have seen it all! Can you believe that someone stapled sheets to a wall instead of using wallpaper? I have even been to a home where the homeowner failed to pick up dog poop for….well…. the life of the dog and then she said she didn’t think that anyone would want to see the yard so she just didn’t even think about cleaning it up. What??? Aren’t you trying to sell your home? While scrolling the MLS I have encountered photos that Realtors have taken of dishes in the sink, furniture, and the homeowner’s animals. I thought real estate was about buying and selling houses. These photos break every rule in the book when trying to sell a home. Realtors have one job and that is to sell your house or find you a house to buy. The point is, not all agents stack up, find one that fits your needs and that you are comfortable working with. Hopefully, I will be able to provide some tips to take away to use in the sale or purchase of your home and put more profits into your pockets.
